My Design Process – Design. Test. Iterate. Repeat.
Design Strategy
- Clarify product benefits by simplifying jargon.
- Create compelling Call to Action for partners.
- Optimize website for SEO and lead generation.
- Use case studies and visuals to showcase benefits.
- Branding and social media for visibility.
01 – Branding the Machines
During my work with Promethean Energy, I created unique branding for the machines.
Machine stickers were a more cost effective method than painting, and also provided room for changes to the design in the future.
The graphics, featuring interplay between ‘Heat’ and ‘Water’, use triangular elements for heat and orange, yellow, and blue colors to symbolize ‘Hot Water’ recovery.
02 – Designing Branding Collateral
Designed A5 booklets and a brochure, summarizing case studies, benefits, testimonials, and energy savings of Promethean Energy products, matching the machine sticker’s theme.
03 – Designing for Sustainability Exhibitions
04 – Website – UX and UI Design
05 – Three-fold Social Media Content Strategy
My Learnings
- Since this was one of my first work as an entrepreneur and solo designer, it helped me sharpen my business skills: pitching, contract preparation, and client servicing.
- I learnt how one can contribute towards a Sustainability initiative no matter what field you are in.
- It learnt to pick projects that I genuinely believed in – those that contribute towards the society.
- Enhanced my design research and strategy skills.
- Understood aligning design with user needs and business goals.
